SUMMARY:The Printing Museum ~ Senior Life Ministry Day Trip
DESCRIPTION:The Printing Museum\nAugust 14\, 2020\n9:00 am\n  \nRegister online at www.sanjacintobaptist.com or call 281.422.3604 to register. \nTwenty-eight passenger bus departs at 9:00 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. tour of The Printing Museum. During your guided tour\, you will learn of early forms of printing\, participate in the hands-on printing of a leaf of the Gutenberg Bible pulled from a replica press\, print a copy of the Declaration of Independence on a 19th-century Columbian iron handpress\, discover the importance of the Linotype machine\, and witness advances in printing and self-publishing that came about in the 20th century. Your tour concludes with a visit to our craft studios\, and temporary exhibitions (if offered at that time) and video. Cost of this trip is $13 plus lunch at a place to be determined. We will return to the Association at approximately 3:00 p.m. \n  \n
